    1. High-Temperature Resistance:
       - Graphite stands out as one of the most heat-resistant materials available. It can withstand temperatures up to 3800°C. Even under ultra-high-temperature arcs, graphite experiences minimal weight loss. At 2000°C, its strength can double.

    2. Excellent Conductivity and Thermal Properties:
       - Graphite exhibits conductivity levels 100 times higher than typical non-metals. Its thermal conductivity surpasses that of steel, iron, and lead. Interestingly, the thermal conductivity of graphite decreases with rising temperatures, and it remains insulating even at extremely high temperatures.

    3. Self-Lubricating Ability:
       - The lubricating performance of graphite depends on the size of its flake-like structure. Larger flakes result in lower friction coefficients, enhancing lubrication.

    Intermediate carbon graphite with its exceptional properties, finds widespread use across various industries. 

     1. Fire-Resistant Materials and Metallurgy Coatings:
       - In the metallurgical industry, medium-carbon graphite is employed to manufacture graphite crucibles, protect steel ingots, and line smelting furnaces with magnesia-carbon bricks.

    2. Conductive Materials:
       - The electrical industry extensively utilizes medium-carbon graphite for:
         - Electrodes: It serves as electrodes in various electrical applications.
         - Carbon Brushes: Used in motors and generators.
         - Coatings for Cathode Ray Tubes: Graphite coatings enhance conductivity in television cathode ray tubes.

    3. Wear-Resistant Materials and Lubricants:
       - In mechanical equipment, medium-carbon graphite acts as both wear-resistant material and lubricant. It can slide at speeds up to 100 m/s within a temperature range of -200°C to 2000°C, often eliminating the need for additional lubrication.

    4. Sealing Materials:
       - Flexible graphite is employed in centrifugal pumps, water turbines, steam turbines, and equipment handling corrosive media. It forms piston rings and seals.

    5. Corrosion-Resistant Materials:
       - Graphite vessels, pipes, and equipment resist corrosion from various aggressive gases and liquids. These applications are prevalent in petroleum, chemical, and wet metallurgical processes.
